President & Coo

I am the President and COO of Trinity Alternative Power Solutions Inc.  I have been in the critical power industry for more than 23 years, starting with my career in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Electrician.  I am passionate about providing support for my customers and have developed strong relationships with many companies over the years, due to my work ethic and trustworthiness.

In March of 2022, I launched Trinity Alternative Power Solutions, Inc. My vision was to create a company that provided unparalleled customer service to our clients. I also wanted to create a company where my employees were proud of our mission, could provide for their families, and would have work/life balance. Our company is very selective when it comes to hiring employees. We only employee those with the highest skillsets. Our employees also embrace the mission of the company, take pride in the work that they do, and exhibit integrity. Our team currently has over 150 years of combined experience, and there is nothing we cannot undertake or accomplish. Our dream was to create a company that our customers could rely on for anything that they need in their critical power lineup.

I served in the United States Navy from 1999-2005, and received training in electrical distribution, paralleling systems, switchgear maintenance and repairs, infrared scanning, ABT/ATS maintenance and repairs, submarine battery operations (similar to UPS), and both diesel and steam impulse generators. These abilities have enabled me to become a skilled technician.  I graduated top of my class at prototype Nuclear Power Training Unit (NPTU) and after graduation stayed on as an instructor. For 2 years I taught nuclear power operations for future nuclear operators for the fleet. I made E-6 at my 3 ½ year point and received my choice of duty station.  I opted to go to Pearl Harbor and served aboard the USS Charlotte SSN 766. However, after about 10 months on board, my career came to a sudden halt due to developing Type 1 Diabetes.  I was medically discharged and am now considered a disabled veteran.

After the military, I was hired as at ASCO Power Services (which was owned by Emerson Network Power) working on ATS (automatic transfer switch) units and PCS (paralleling control system) gear as a senior field engineer. During the last 4 years of my 16+ year career with ASCO, I was asked to become part of a team that would train the technicians in the United States and around the world.  I have trained technicians in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Australia. I developed and wrote the full medium voltage training and upper level (ATS 201) training and assisted with rewriting the lower level (ATS 101) training for the company. The curriculum was primarily focused on training new technicians in ATS modifications, repairs, startups, upgrades, how to read schematics and drawings, understanding power, communications programming and protocols, etc. My experiences as a senior field technician and corporate trainer provided me with the expertise to launch my own company. Our mission at Trinity Alternative Power Solutions, Inc is grounded in my Christian faith. Indeed, our company morals (respect, integrity, knowledge and loyalty) are the cornerstones to my life and those of my employees.

I could not have done this without the support of my wonderful wife and our beautiful daughters. In my spare time I enjoy working out, playing sports (e.g., football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf, running.). I also teach martial arts, with my main discipline being Hapkido, but I also have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and one in Tang Soo Do as well. I also am a professional magician and am a member of the world famous Magic Castle. I perform at charity events, galas, and for private events.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

I am here to help in any way needed, and my least favorite saying is “That is not my Job” as I feel all people will be tasked outside of job descriptions and it is those moments where you can grow most.

Senior Field Services Representative

My name is AJ Wheatman. I serve asa Senior Representative of Field Services. My duties are as many as the hats that I wear, day-to-day. Some of these duties include, but are not limited to:Customer relationships, contracts, servicing/troubleshooting, upgrading and repairing equipment along with training end users and operators on theory of operations of their critical power infrastructure. I also enjoy recruiting future employees, training other technicians, and assist with directing field services.

I was born at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and I have a total of 16 years in the field, and come from anActive Duty Military background. I served as an Active Duty Staff Sergeant in the world’s greatest Air and Space authority, the USAF, as an Electrical PowerProduction Craftsman. I led a crew and was a front-line supervisor as a part of my role, along with all the aforementioned duties that I currently hold and perform. I deployed to Afghanistan twice and had the privilege of being the engineer for a SOF team in 2009-10 during the entirety of my 2nd deployment. I traveled the world and was trained at or stationed abroad in:Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and in the US in California, Texas, Wisconsin, and Florida. I am still able to speak conversational German, and look back on my Military career often, as it was the beginning of what I do now. I thought I knew a lot until I got out of the Military (with an HonorableDischarge after two enlistments) and spent time with former colleagues and the members of Trinity Alternative Power Solutions, most of whom I met while working for ASCO. I am astonished at the versatility of TAPS and degree of expertise that I am surrounded with daily, and consider myself to be blessed beyond measure to be a part of such a powerful and capable team.

I am a firm believer in Jesus, a husband to my wife Kaylyn, and a father to my two children; my precious littleMelody Grace and my little ace Maverick Dean, who are 3 years old and 7 months old. I enjoy the outdoors and staying active with hobbies such as: Fishing, hiking, weight lifting, biking, etc… Early in 2022, I was asked if I was interested in being a part of what is becoming a world-renowned start-up company whose focus would be to reignite the, “American Dream”, and bring backAmerican jobs, as an American Veteran owned and operated company. Our statutes glorify God with an unparalleled commitment to our customers and their needs, along with a dedication to work with our hands in the ways of what most consider to be an old and outdated fashion. Also known as, “Moral and Ethical”, the fashion in which we strive to achieve success is the cornerstone of our business practices. As an individual, I am far from perfect, and have much to learn and improve upon, and in lieu of that, you can trust that I surround myself withGodly leaders and other experts in the field of critical power operations and make every effort to learn from yesterday, grow as a leader, and serve the TAPS family alongside our local communities to the best of my ability.

John 16:33- “ In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world”.

We invite you to let your troubles, tribulations and needs in the realm of critical power, rest on our shoulders. We were built to handle it.
